1. 2. The purpose of this Policy is to tell you about the steps we take to help achieve a safe and secure environment for all users of service, both children and adults.

1. 4. We may change this Policy from time to time. Please check it regularly.

2. Accepting tutors on our service

   1. We take the following steps to check the identity and background of tutors who apply to join our service: We conduct interviews, we ask tutors to provide ID documents and qualification certificates and we make our own DBS (i.e., conviction checks). If the tutor’s profile says “verified” or similar, that means that we have carried out these steps. However, we cannot guarantee that the information provided to us by tutors or others is or will remain accurate.

1. 2. While we intend to review tutor profiles before they are uploaded to our site, we can’t guarantee that any claims in the profiles are or will remain correct or that they won’t be supplemented by incorrect claims.

3. Selecting your tutor

   1. To help you find the most suitable tutor, we rank tutors based on various factors including ratings and number of sessions delivered via our service. Please read the tutor ratings/reviews carefully before selecting a tutor. To assist other users, please leave your own careful reviews of all tutors you use.

1. 2. You contract and deal with tutors at your own risk. You are responsible for your selection of tutor. You agree that, before you book or as early as possible thereafter, you will ask tutors to verify their background and any claims which are relevant to your selection of the tutor. Alternatively, please contact us so that we can help you obtain further information.

4. Selecting your students

   1. You are responsible for deciding whether it is appropriate for you to provide tutor services to any particular services.

5. Tutor sessions

   1. If you are a customer booking for a child under 18, you agree to ensure that the child is at all times accompanied during all tutor sessions, whether in-person and online, by you or someone else over 18. If you are a tutor, you agree not to participate in any session with an unaccompanied student who is under 18.

1. 2. We will take reasonable steps to record online tutor sessions. We will take reasonable steps to record online Sessions and make them available to Customers in case needed to assist in a complaint against a Tutor or to assist learning. The Customer agrees that it will not use the recording in any other manner, including not publicly posting the recordings. We will keep the recordings for the retention period stated in our Privacy Policy . The Customer acknowledges that we will delete the recording after the retention period mentioned in our Privacy Policy and that it is the Customer’s responsibility to download the recording it wishes to retain it thereafter.

1. 3. You agree to take reasonable steps to protect your (or your child’s) safety and security in relation to tutor sessions.

1. 4. Tutors are responsible for taking out their own insurance to protect themselves, if appropriate.

If you encounter inappropriate conduct

1. 5. If you encounter any inappropriate behaviour by someone else in connection with our service or website (including in online or in-person tutor sessions, in communications or on our website) or if you have any other concerns for your safety, you agree to immediately (1) stop communications with that person, (2) exit any tutor session, and (3) inform us immediately by email to complaints@nkuzi.com. Please also use any available blocking mechanisms ad seek relevant external help If appropriate (e.g., from law enforcement authorities).

If we receive a complaint

1. 6. If we receive a complaint about a user, we reserve the right to suspend the user or remove the user from our service or report that person to the authorities or take any other steps set out in our Terms and Conditions .
